About LMC-PT

Liam McCaffrey

BA (Hons)  MA (Ed)  Dip (PT/ER/CMH/Sp Psyc)  MCIMSPA (ch)

After a highly successful 25 year teaching career I embarked upon my other passion…health and fitness. Having completed extensive study and CPD I am qualified to work with both the general population and specialist groups.

In my general role as a personal trainer, I have worked with a diverse range of clients from complete beginners to elite athletes.

Among my specialist population I have experience working with patients with conditions ranging from limb impairment/amputation, knee replacements, spinal damage (complete/incomplete), Down Syndrome, PTSD, brain injury and Parkinson’s disease.

Furthermore, I’m currently working with clients with the following conditions: Colitis, Benign Joint Hypermobility Syndrome and Bursitis.

It is an absolute privilege and pleasure to work with such a broad ranging clientele, meaning that no two days are the same…indeed no two sessions are the same! The job satisfaction I get is simply immeasurable whether that be a client reaching a personal best or walking up a set of stairs after serious injury.

Education is a central component to what I do. I’m a firm advocate of continuous professional development and lifelong learning. I hold two degrees (Bachelors and Masters) within Education and act as an assessor and IQA for student fitness professionals at Sports Fitness Academy, Co. Donegal, Republic of Ireland. Having completed advanced qualifications it is both reassuring and satisfying that I hold not one but two highly sought after qualifications within the highest category of the profession. This has enabled me to be a registered member of CIMSPA (Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity).

My business logo contains the Latin phrase “Non Deficere.” It simply means….”Keep going.”
